There seems to be still a need of a lot more education in this area. I do not necessarily mean the Villages, but on the Internet.

It seems too easy to manipulate labels involving mental illness because of people's ignorance of the lack of scientific information about many mental illnesses and mental illnesses are often wrapped up tightly with other factors . https://books.google.com/books?id=Jp...ations&f=false

I have dealt with long term depression myself and had a nervous breakdown in March-April of 2000 in Palm Harbor, FL but have weathered things fairly well since then. My 224 613 Project is also wrapped up in educating people about the danger of making too fast judgments about mental illness and the like. I had pushed very hard while still at the University of Minnesota Law School in January 1991 through September 1991 about addressing the needs of survivors/victims of crimes to get access to practical information for survivors/victims of crimes and was met with subtle and then not so subtle attacks on my mental health for my trouble. These were lawyers using the mental health system as a sword and not as a shield. Both approaches though should have as many checks-and-balances as would make the system still workable. If you Google Taltarzac725 you will see documents on my own rather very complicated life experiences with these issues.

Education offers these checks-and-balances and especially that over the Internet and through other avenues of information retrieval.
