I keep reading and if I understand it, Im I retired Military with a plan called Tri-Care for Life. $12 co pay for office visits, No deductables, $3. prescriptions and no Maximum coverage at all. Now if I understand this, McCain will tax this at a rate of approximately $24,000 for my family plan for me and my wife. Even at a retired % rate, that is a big chunk of money. Anyone understand this better or am I right about this. After 40 plus years as a republican, I will be voting for Obama in November. I emailed JOHNMCCAIN.com over a week ago for a clear understanding and did not even get a response.

Then along came the McCain Health Care Plan. His plan is not a loss of another piece of coverage or even a simple increase in cost of our FREE HEALTH CARE. With his proposed plan, we will either give up a major portion of our retirement plans or live without any health care coverage. Ask anyone that pays for their insurance coverage if they can get a good plan for two folks over 60 for 5000 dollars.
I am still very proud that I served my country, however, I do feel foolish for voting republican over the past 40 plus years. I will give the Democrats my support in November.

His plan will cost us about 5000 dollors in extra tax and that is in addition to the 5000 credit. So pass the plan and we will be increased by 10000 dollars of acctual TAX.

May I respectfully suggest that this thread should be opened in the Medical and Health Discussion forum too? I would do it, but I'm not familiar with this particular subject. I have dealt with and posted about the health insurance nightmare which has only worsened in recent years; my more recent post had to do with Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plans, but the whole medical insurance debacle seems to be going completely over the edge and is something that we residents of a retirement community need to keep ourselves more and more aware of. What could be next?...
