Default Olive garden

I believe they have started clearing the land for Olive Garden @ Buffalo Ridge. Anyone know for sure?

The construction report in The Sun yesterday confirmed that.

Default Good to hear.

Soon I can use the coupons I get sometimes for donating blood at Florida's Blood Centers which are good at Darden's restaurants. This chain includes Red Lobster and Olive Garden.

Only get these coupons once in a while at Florida's Blood Centers though.

Thumbs up Yummmm!

I hope it's good from the beginning. The one near our home in Illinois was not good for about a year. Then it became wonderful. Must have changed chefs or something. So I hope this one is good from day one. They have a good selection.

My favorite was always the soup-and-salad combination. Could not find a better lunch value anywhere.

I've added a few pounds because of their "Tour of Italy." dish.

Default Not a fan of Olive Garden salad. You can't make a Gantner into a Paladini.

I must be the only person in the universe that isn't crazy about Olive Garden salad. It is tooo vinegary for me. I always put a bit of sugar in my salad dressing. Guess that comes from having German background. RedWitch will tell you people of German descent even put sugar in their potato salad.

BUT I like most everything else and I love the Eggplant Parmesan from Olive Garden YUM!

I've been to OG once and really didn't care for it. So much so, we never went back. We like the Romano's Macaroni Grill too, but I have to admit, I've never been to Carrabbas.

I always thought it was a NY thing - the Italian food around NY is usually pretty good. There are neighborhood restaurants in Staten Island that serve excellent Italian food - food that no chain restaurant I've been to comes close to matching. And if I'm in the mood for Italian, those places would be my first choice.

Steve,

I agree. We like Carrabbas alot, but we don't order the traditional Italian food. When we want Italian, I cook it at home. We had one bad experience at OG and never returned, the same for Red Lobster, (three bad experiences). We are however, willing to try these restaurants in TV once again.

My pipe dream is for my DH to someday get the TV store. He is the GM of a OG here. He said that it is down right near impossible to get transfers to Central Florida--- It's the happening place for sure!
