I never would have picked these. I almost never play the lottery so I actually did not pick any real numbers.

These are: 32-16-19-57-34 and the Powerball is 13.

Maybe I will play one card if it goes to 1.3 billion but I never did like lines. I could build my own library though!!!

About 14 came close, goes to show you what little change person has. Before they added more numbers I compared chance of winning lottery was like going on ocean cruise across the pond. Some where between USA and Europe you through dime overboard, now on the way back find the dime, odds are greater finding the dime than winning the lottery!

After the Feds, state share, (and you still have to file at the end of the year and pay more) and leaches get done with you you will probably own money. Some One said you only chance would hire warren buffet's tax cheat lawyers so you would pay less than his secretary. the only real winners every time from lotteries are the federal, state government, and the lottery operator's. Powerball tainted with high level employee that munulated the computer printing winning ticket after the draw and then the program erased its tracks. He doing 10 years and they are still trying to find out how many he manulated.

Isn't it interesting that the government for years arrested people for gambling but when they can get into the act well perhaps gambling is not immoral after all.

I also find it ironic that the government sponsors gambling but requires a "gamblers anonymous" poster at every station.

The powerball was once called Lotto America and you could purchase two lines for $1. Then they added the powerball number and charged $1 for one line. Now it cost $2 for one line and they regrouped the numbers to increase the odds of winning. Worse yet they announce the powerball climbed to, in this case, $1.3 billion when in fact that is future value based on a hypothetical annuity which is misleading. Brought down to present value about half the proceeds then subtract taxes and I suspect hidden fees. Yes I agree its still can be a sizeable amount but I detest this kind of marketing. Just as I detest their "you can't win if you don't play. People have as much a chance getting bitten by a shark in Iowa then winning the lottery.

Oh wait there are sharks in Iowa their called presidential candidates

The reality is not too many people will resist buying a ticket or two for a chance at 1.3 billion...its in our DNA

Good gosh the way people complain you would think they are forced to play. If you read lottery info it will tell you the amount is over the full amount of years. Ummm isn't bingo also gambling?

It's funny how one person reads a post and thinks it's just some useful or useless information or an opinion of no consequence and another reads the exact same post and sees it as a complaint.

Remember the ink blot test. Everyone looks at the same inkblot but not everyone agrees what it is. I wonder if there is a test like that for reading and interpreting the emotions of the writer?

The lottery is a de facto tax on the poor. Which then becomes a de facto tax on the middle class. Government 1, the people 0.

All it takes is ONE lucky ticket! If you don't play, you most likely won't be holding that ticket in your hand. Your choice of course. But it is fun to dream and dream big this time around. Good luck to all!!!!!!!!!!

If only the money for all the lotteries that were held that was to be utilized building roads, hospitals, etc went to the right place, we would be better off. Instead, it just feeds the people who work for the lottery and the cost of their operation. Like donating to a charity where 80-90% goes to administration of said charity. IMHO

It's nice to think one could hit the big jackpot and what one would do, with all that money, so I will buy into the infinitesimal chance of hitting the big one!

It seems more complicated that that but I would love to see more current information on where this money actually ends up.

As to all that money my house could only be so big before my maids would raise up in revolt or I would end up paying them extremely well. Your car could only go so fast and you can only date so many women, etc. Buying a sports team might be a good option with all that dough. Would anyone show you real respect though for just being handed all this money and not really earning it?
