Default Attractive Bathing suits for the over 55 crowd.

There was some discussion of a Speedo Bathing suit on a guy walking around to the mail box and walking his dog in another thread.

I haven't seen anyone in a Speedo since Mark Spitz.

I googled men's bathing suits at Kohl's which I think of as a nice, middle of the road retail business and came up with this;
Search Results | Kohl's

I think certain types of bathing suits are not a right, they are a privilege.

Thoughts on bathing suits for Villagers. Any and all entertained and debated for sure.

Seems like I've seen it all (but as usual, I'm always surprised in life). I've decided it's up to me not to look. I may need to protect the grandchildren once-in-awhile, but if someone wants to expose how gravity has impacted their body......it's up to me to look the other way.

Is there a Lane Bryant for Men? The Kohl's models don't look like the men at my pool.

Except for the occasional Neanderthal with chia pet shoulders my focus typically is on the women [emoji39]

Again, as in my schoolboy days my mind drifts into space but alas see's no suits, only the beauty that lies beyond.

I am 15 maybe 20 pounds over weight. My swimsuits look like Bermuda shorts. Maybe when I hit 75 I won't be so self conscious. Even at my premium weight of 170 I still would not we're speedos.

If you take a day trip to St Pete Beach this time of year, you are more than likely to note several speedos. The primary offenders are Germans and Brits. Bless their hearts.

This may be a clash of cultures.

About 15 years ago for the first time ever I visited the South of France one summer. I went with an American girlfriend who had been married to a Frenchman and lived in France for several years. Before our trip she shopped in Southern California for the smallest bikinis she could find. After she narrowed it down to three she modeled them for me. I was astonished at their immodesty and asked her if she was really going to wear any of them in public. She replied, just wait, I will be wearing bikinis having the most fabric you will see there. She was absolutely correct! Her suits looked frumpy compared to those of the local women. Even middle age and older totally out of shape men were wearing speedo style - but smaller than US speedo size - bathing suits.

A few years later I was dating an English woman who was an airline pilot based at LAX. She lived in a condo in Santa Monica and was furious she was not allowed to go topless in the hot tub and swimming pool at her complex. She had chosen to live in Santa Monica and thought because it was so liberal women going topless would be acceptable!

Most Europeans do not seem to have the body image issues Americans have which might be due to our Puritan history.

Most of us didn't arrive on the Mayflower. We came from Europe. What happened along the way?

My theory is Europe was happy to send the fat people to the new world so they could go to the beach and not have to look at us.

I do have a bucket list. But I gotta tell you, I don't think that one's even underneath the bucket.
If he makes it to the Olympics swim team, and President Trump's not giving a speech, I'll tune in.
