Default Iowa Sheep Caucus

Iowa has a great school system and some fine colleges and universities - but WHY are Iowans so dumb?

In 2008, their ridiculous caucus system picked Rick Santorum as their caucus winner based on his Evangelical views. Well, we saw how far that went! In 2012, they picked Mike Huckabee for the same reason and once again, we saw the result of that choice.

This year, the ridiculous Iowans chose Ted "the Canadian" Cruz based on his and his Fidel Castro sidekick father's Evangelical views.

If no one really knows how the Iowa caucus program goes, it is not by secret ballot but just gathering in a group by your candidate's representative in a gym or school hall or even at a private house. People mainly gather with their friends since most everyone knows each other in these meetings and you do not want to feel out of place by standing away from your neighbors and church members even if you do not like that candidate. Basically a gathering of sheep!

Please pardon the typo in my OP. My fingers got ahead of my eagerness when recalling the years of choices of Huckabee and Santorum by the Iowa Sheep Caucuses. Time for another cup of Costa Rican coffee from Winn Dixie!

Isn't pork the choice in Iowa, not sheep?

So, Cruz's father's past associations are pertinent, but Obama's associations with a domestic bomber, a communist mentor, a radical racist preacher and a racist spouse means nothing? Hmmm, interesting.

Yes, they are. Cruz Sr. fought alongside Fidel Castro. How was he even allowed into the USA. Rafael Jr. wants to keep foreign terrorists out but his own father was a Communist guerilla.

...and I don't believe that Obama is running for President this year, is he?

Michelle Obama is a racist? No, that is not true.

is that because you write something it must be true....ahh the mind of a narcissist. Ignore everything that doesn't fit their view of things.

Are you, by chance, a member of the ostrich family?

Cruz is not his father, any more than Obama is not his father. But, Obama was mentored by a communist USA member that was wanted by the FBI. Obama associated with a domestic bomber, a terrorist that was a member of the Weathermen underground terrorist group. And yes, Michelle IS a racist. And his preacher of about 20 years is also a racist. And no, thank goodness Obama is not running for president this year. I am surprised that there are enough idiots that elected him for his second term.

All public schools and colleges are the cause of all the sheep. They are brained washed from kindergarden to how ever far they make it in higher indoctrination which the democrat party panders to for grants, studies, union, and for 100 percent retirement. The most over paid profession in America are public school superintendents and state college deans. In most districts they make more than the president. But, education system NEVER has enough money. I wonder where all the money goes????? Unions, super pay, retirements would be good start!

Other than indoctrination by most teachers to liberal views in the class room they are getting bleed dry like the rest of us that continue to pay higher and higher school taxes with little change or improvements in return.

All one has to do is look at the history of the elections in the past....who the candidates were on either side and how many made it to the nomination....and even fewer elected president.......like maybe one or two over the past 40+++ years.

The real distinction of Iowa? They are first. Value added as an indicator of electability......almost zero.

Nothing more than a media and commercial opportunity.

I would say political/media circus but some would think I misspelled caucus.

What is interesting is that after seven years the Cons are still stuck on the same tune.

Name a speech when Sanders or Clinton said a company or industry should be taken over by the government. That is Socialism. If you cannot do this, be quiet!

Basically, the Iowa caucus system is just a contest of peer pressure. So many small towns in Iowa, everyone knows everyone and their family. You want to go stand with the "popular" group instead of where you really believe with the best candidate. For example, you think Ben Carson is wonderful but the small minded folk in your town are anti-black, you go stand with them instead of your favorite.

Yes, Iowans in small towns ARE like that!

Iowa is a good place to be from -- far from!

And then when the votes are too close to call we "toss a coin"??
Too close to call is a tie. 1 vote is a win / 5 votes is a win. Hillary won 6 out of 6 coin tosses to win. I could tell you how that happened bu it's "classified". I just wonder what Hillary's reaction would have been if she lost to 6 coin tosses. Hanging chad's syndrome is back.
