I am looking into having my driveway painted and I have found that there are a couple of ways to do it. One is to just paint it with acrylic paint and having it sealed. However it is my understanding that in time the paint will fade and require work.
Another way to do it is to use concrete coating which is more expensive than the paint but is more durable and will last much longer. Has anyone had there driveway done with concrete coating and if so can you give me a phone number of contractor who did it?

First, please do NOT PAINT your driveway, you will end up with a skating rink when it is wet, and the coating will probably fail after a couple of years. We had our driveway, lanai, and birdcage coated by Driveways By Jay. Ed Duggan does the estimating, he can be reached at 877-713-2902.
Jay does excellent work and I would highly recommend him. He has done several driveways in our village (Pinellas). The coating that he uses is NON SKID (he adds Shark Grip), and no maintenance for several years.
It also does NOT show tire marks.

Hi, I spoke with Ed and he is coming tomorrow to give me an estimate. I asked him about concrete coating and he told me that they use an acrylic paint also. He did say they can put something in the paint to make it non skid. But this company does paint driveways just like others I have talked with. What I like about this company is he has many driveways he can show me so that I can see how they have stood up over the years. Thanks for your info.

I was not sure if the coating was paint or stain, but it is GREAT, and he does add Shark Grip, which works great. Jay is an artist, he will blend the paint on site to match your house, and will work with you in the design.

I suggest you also get an estimate from Decorative Concrete. He has great recommendations on here and a significant reference list. He has been doing TV for 25 years so he has driveways above 466 and you can visit with the owners to discuss how they have held up.
