Sure. No reason why you couldn't. I have been mowing mine for 13years. Cheaper than a health club membership!

most don't. I always mowed mine, but sold my mower, string trimmer, edger when I moved here. It also depends on the size of your lot. Ours is rather large, and its a chore during the summer months especially.

I believe most don't but a fair number in my area do; you would not be alone in mowing yourself. It takes me 20 mins to mow and 10 mins to edge. Some of the mowing companies are only mowing once every two weeks. I know a few folks who got tired of dealing with mowing companies and decided to start doing it themselves.

Pro's and Con's with both methods. DIY is cheaper and you know it's done properly. However, you'll need to purchase, store and maintain the equipment. I've always considered it cheap therapy and it's good exercise. Of course this depends on your physical condition.

Having a service is not a bad option. You don't need all the equipment taking up space in the garage and maintenance hassle. It certainly frees up your time and you don't need to worry 'bout getting out in the hot sun. Just relax.

I'm seasonal. I mow 1/2 acre up north. Here, garage space is too valuable (no basement) to have law equipment. Plus mowing companies are cheap compared to my home town.

Yep; always have, always will. Why hassle with people you don't know, people that don't do it right, people that are not regular at showing up, etc., etc.?

I had a mowing company because I did not live here year round-average size yard costs 500-600 to have mowed twice a month each month of the year. It takes 2 guys 15 minutes to do the job=.5 hr labor each mow x 2 times a month =1 hr labor per month x 12 months =12 hrs labor for 500-600 dollars. That is highway robbery in my opinion specially since they don't do the best job. I do my own-thank you

I cut 4 acres up home. Down here I pay. Mine gets cut every week Spring thru Fall and less in the Winter. Sure is worth the 45 bucks a month to have it cut, edged and cleaned up

I did when we first moved here. I eventually surrendered to having it cut for us. The summer months were the worst because you would have to cut the grass as early as possible in the morning or as late as possible to avoid the heat.
