Default Bark Busters in The Villages

Has anyone used Bark Busters dog training in The Villages? They apparently do alot of business here. Their rates are expensive,so we'd like some feedback before using them. Do their techniques work?

We used them in Las Vegas with a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. After one lesson we quit the program (which at least in LV must be paid in full upfront.). Our poor dog was terrorized, and it took him several weeks to recover. If I had it to do again I would ask myself what the goal of the training should be. There are other forms you might want to investigate as well.

I'm sure there are many successful cases here, and you should take what they say into account as well. Our experience is likely in the minority.

We have used them and think they are great! The price is high because they will come back if needed for the life of the pet. I like their methods. It's as much about training you as it is your pet. It's only as good as how much effort you're willing to put into it and be consistent.
Hope that helps.

Wow must have been a different technique. There's was the least harsh I have ever seen. Maybe it was the trainer. The lady we had here was Annette. It's been quite a few years since we have needed it.

It was the Trainer. She growled in different ways to give our dog commands. Several were teach him she was the alpha dog. And she was a certified Bark Buster trainer. Maybe they've changed their technique.

Default Thank you for your input

I have continued to research Bark Buster's training methods. This, along with your comments leads me to save some money and cancel the BB training sessions.

Your poor little guy... getting growled at. I think certain happy-go-lucky breeds do better with positive training. They don't need to be yelled at.
