The next meeting of The Villages Motor Racing Fan Club is on March 2 at Colony Cottage Recreation Center, going green at 7 p.m.

The guest speaker is Jim O'Connor, owner/operator of Kokomo Speedway in Indiana. He is the former owner/operator of Crown Point Speedway (Indiana) and Kankakee Speedway (Illinois).

Jim is recognized for his expertise as a promoter, but his 42-year resume as a racing veteran sets him apart from the rest. He is a nine-time champion and all-time leader in feature wins (88) at Kankakee Speedway. Jim is a 2013 inductee in the Illinois Stock Car Hall of Fame.

Club meetings are open to all Villages residents – owners and renters – with appropriate Villages ID.
