Default Pelicans

I have a friend who is an amateur photographer who is visiting us for a few days starting today. He has expressed in interest in photographing the pelicans that sometime visit area ponds. Wondering if anyone had some good spots where we might find these rather elusive birds?

Obviously they move around a lot, but yesterday there probably 20 of them in the retention pond on the north side of Hillsborough Trail near the Charlotte gate. I have also, occasionally, seen a lot of them in some of the ponds on the west side of Canal Street.

You never know where they will be. They are called American Pelicans. I did a search on them a while back and was interesting.
