Default You know he (Obama) is GOOD when...

He tells his wife on National television that she has a lipstick mark on her teeth with complete calm and consideration for his spouse!!

AND....he is smart enough to let her have the LAST word during a disagreement!!

I guess this is not political....but he is going to be President!!

I am watching Barbara Walters....I am so glad he WON!!

Default Yeah, It's Nice...

...to have an incoming President that exhibits such controlled smoothness in assembling his administration, creating a legislative agenda to be acted upon even before he is inagurated, taking some initial actions to begin the improvement in our foreign relations...and at the same time being a good husband and father, all with a good sense of humor.

And guess what? President-elect Obama is telling us what he's doing and why. Three press conferences in three days? Unheard of! And we can understand his explanations, unlike the gobbledegook banker-talk that Henry Paulson used in explaining the new stimulus package that he tried to announce yesterday. I'm a retired banker and even I had a tough time understanding what Paulson was describing. I'm sure that most people had no idea what he was talking about. In the meantime our current President was pardoning the turkey and heading off to Camp David for the holiday. Ahh, maybe that's just as well. Talk about having screwed up priorities!

Given the problems the President-elect is facing, he'll have a lot of bad days, weeks and months in the future. He won't always have the huge support of the public that he has now. But in the end, I think we'll all conclude that America picked a winner this time around.

You know which side of the aisle I've resided.... and even I am impressed and even better, I feel a sense of ressurance that someone is in charge. I call it leadership. Good for him and good for us.

Default As stated previously.....

I will reserve my accolades (or lack thereof) one year from today.
Walking the talk is much more difficult than just talking.
Promises kept VS promises made will tell the story.

I think that President Elect Obama definitely inspires confidence in most of us with his intelligent and smooth demeanor. What a difference from "W". These are the golden days for the Obamas. The next few years will be very difficult for them, I'm sure.

Obama and his wife are a treat to watch when being interviewed. I really wish them well.

Even when I wasn't sure who my choice for president was, I was impressed with Obama. So far, he has done nothing to change that. He truly is showing himself to be a class act.

As to keeping all of his campaign promises, I doubt he will be able to do that. Sometimes reality really does get in the way of hopes and dreams. I'm sure there are facts that will be given to him that he never would have had unless he had won. These facts will change his realities and he may well discover that some of his promises are just not feasible.

I'm just hoping he has the strength to do what is necessary when the time comes. He certainly has the intelligence and drive.
