Default Adding speed traps to a gps

Saw an ad from Phantom alert that has a service to add speed trap and red light camera locations, etc. to a GPS. Is anyone using this? How valuable is it?

Yes but not this product, I am using what are called POI (point of interest) files in my Garmin Nuvi 750 and it works great. There are tons of POI files that can be added to certain models of GPS's. You can dowload the POI files or roll your own. For the Garmin you just enter the information into an Excel spreadsheet in the proper format then upload the info to your GPS. Google POI and see what you come up with.

Reading the add I see that you are paying for a monthly fee to download a POI file. Check Google and you gan get the file for free or on one site they ask for a fee but it is used to support the web page and hundreds of POI files. Take a look at http://www.poi-factory.com/
