Default Mediterranean Cruise

I am seriously considering booking a Mediterranean cruise. NCL has one departing Sept. 30 from Barcelona and returning October 12 from Venice. Goes from Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Montenegro, Venice. Has anyone taken this particular cruise in the past? I would like to hear comments and suggestions.

We are booked on the NCL starting in Venice on September 18 and returning Sept. 30 from Barcelona. This is our first NCL cruise. We chose this cruise because of the ports which originally included Istanbul but unfortunately due to terrorism, that has been eliminated.

Go to cruisecritic.com. Go to reviews of your ship and on the boards western Mediteranean. Best cruise site.

My sister and I took this cruise two years ago. It was wonderful. Plan your excursions ahead of time. For example the second stop is Toulon, a lovely seaport town that you can walk around at your own pace, then come back to the port and have a lovely lunch at an outside cafe on the water. Save yourself from getting on a bus to see some other town which will look similar. Be glad the cruise has eliminated Istambul. I did not like getting off the ship at this port anyway, too unsettling. Mykonos can be explored by just walking around. Croatia looks fantastic. I wish we had stopped there. Touring can be very tiring. Book your excursions carefully. Have fun.

Santorini is magical. Mykenos is great. But we especially enjoyed Dubrovnik.
