Default Poor Choices

It looks like Clinton, Trump, or even Cruz. I understand sending a message but none of the above will move the needle. I still believe most people are ok with status quo, gridlock, and obscene deficiet spending. The only way to cause change is to force a balanced budget and set term limits. Neither politicians or voters want that as it would mean less spending, higher taxes, and short political careers. Onward.

Just curious, do you have someone in mind who would move the needle?

We have term limits - we call them elections

I am quite satisfied with my congressperson, my US Senator and with my President.

The "needle" as you call it has moved in the proper direction since 2009.

I am looking forward to the administration of the next POTUS - whomever she may be

Your needle has moved to 20 Trillion in debt. You must be one of the 17% that approve of how Congress is running the country. Don't misplace your checkbook.

You are exactly why nothing will change. Everyone likes their congressmen and Senators but nation wide their approval is in the teens. For the record my Senators and Representative have no political courage for fear of not being re-elected. I assume the needle moving correctly means you have no children or grand children or figure it's every man for himself. IMO

You're right...the two party system is beyond totally corrupt. No more Ds or Rs would help, but you won't do that.

I always wondered what you thought about Sanders. You know he was always an independent but realized the only chance he had for press or national attention was to call himself a socialist democrat. The DNC figured, why not. Especially if agrees to go along with the winner rather than split votes later.

He's a socialist. I'm a libertarian. I think people should be left alone and leave others alone.

Gays should be free to be gay. But people should also be able to refuse to do business with them.

Minorities should either qualify like everyone else, or improve themselves until they can. Every "people" has been a slave to another at one time in history. They REALLY need to let it go and prove themselves, if they can't, well then that answers a question we've all had.

Women need to take responsibility for THEIR own actions and quit blaming it on the man if they get pregnant. In this day and age...if you get pregnant, you WANTED to get pregnant. That's YOUR decision and your responsibility. Unless of course the man agrees BEFORE you get pregnant, then you're both responsible. If you can't afford it, don't do it! We ain't paying.

If you're not hurting anyone, you should be able to do pretty much whatever you want. You're responsible for yourself.

Libertarianism (Latin: liber, "free") is a political philosophy that upholds liberty as its principal objective. Libertarians seek to maximize autonomy and freedom of choice, emphasizing political freedom, voluntary association, and the primacy of individual judgment.
Is this what you believe?

they will never win anything.
All they do is siphon off votes from a candidate who could possibly beat a very undesireable opponent like Clinton, for example.
Not intending to be negative; just factual.

To me, they're BOTH, the D and R, undesirable!

Is it better to be robbed by your right hand...lets call it the R hand? Or to be robbed by your left...lets call it the D hand?

I prefer not to be robbed at all...anyone else? Vote libertarian.
