Default Patio at Evans Prairie

Six of us were seated in the open patio area at Evans Prairie enjoying a drink. A very large party of golf people were gathered at the opposite corner of the patio having some sort of party. Eventually the golf people began to move near us and all took seats at tables for some kind of awards event. Now, we were seated first, and then they all came over. Well, they had the nerve to tell our group to shut up and stop talking so that they could hear the speaker from their group.

What is the protocol here? There were no other tables large enough for our group, so we could not move. The server directed us to those seats when we arrived. This was the open patio area.

you tell the person that they are a sphincter aperture and that if they wanted exclusive use of the patio they should have reserved the entire patio. Then call the manager over.

An adult approach, unfortunately, doesn't always work. The "take a hike" approach almost always does.

Wow.

I usually take the high-road, but I don't think I could have in this situation.
