Default Tv & dsl

Just bought a CYV to close on Feb. 9th. We do not need a land phone but do need DSL and TV service. What is the best way to go & as we will be in & out are there any that can be "turned off" when not needed for a while? Will be located off St. Charles in the Poinciana Village. Thanks.

I have Comcast for TV, Internet and Local phone. When I signed up a few months ago they were running a special, all three for $85. I wasn't sure I wanted the phone but it sure comes in handy for calling 800 numbers....GN

While I was still in New Jersey I ordered the 3 services from comcast to be installed a day after closing here in TV. When the tech came to do the install he said phone service wasn't on the order. Calling the comcast office they tell me phone service is not available in my area yet. I now have comcast for tv and embarq for phone and internet
I'm off St Charles in The Village of St Charles

Default comcast in new areas

just had the same experience with comcast. Bought a cyv in St Charles and the address is not in their computer yet. the said that they have to send a service person out to verify if there is service in the area before they can hook us up. We will only be there on occasional weekends so we signed up for basic, 22 channels for 11.95 per month. I guess tht we won't have it this weekend. Bringing lots of DVD's

If you want DSL you will need a land line. A friend of mine switched to DSL from COMCAST and id not have a telephone line n the area where the computer was and had to have a line installed.

If you are in a new area, make sure you call the local Comcast office (352-751-3547). If you call the 800 number and you are not on their map yet they can't help you. When I settled I called the 800 number and was told that I did not have a house yet...and I WAS CALLING FROM IT!!!!!!! The people at the local number have updated maps and are very helpful.

Comcast can provide you with cable tv and internet. As of today still no phone service in ST Charles

Default DSL service?

I have a patio villa in The Village of St. Charles (Hallandale Villas) --- west side of Bailey Trail is St. Charles - same side as the St. Charles pool. I have phone service and DSL with Embarq and tv with Comcast. The Village map shows this as The Village of Poinciana which is not correct and will be corrected with the next map. All services are available in The Village of St. Charles.
