Tom Cruise Kicks Butt in New Orleans in Jack Reacher: Never Go Back : People.com

Tom Cruise will be back as Jack Reacher.

He is a stretch for me imagining as the Lee Child's character but maybe the Rock was really busy with his series about football players called Ballers and the latest Fast and Furious movie.

it's hard for me to watch him play Reacher.

I just started reading Reacher books. The problem is when i start one i can not stop. Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher? Does not compute.

Cruise does okay as Reacher. He can do the look and the basic attitude but it is hard to suspend belief that such a small man can take one opponent twice his size, let alone four or five. On the plus size, they don't try to pretend Cruise is a big man ala Alan Ladd.
