Default 51" snake skin in our back yard

We found this in the back yard. Thankful it was not still on the snake! Probably is a black snake, and yes I know they are harmless and keep the mice population down, but I would just as soon not meet up with it!

I'm afraid the snakes but only 4 kinds big, little, alive, dead. I.m thinking of moving to Ireland because St Patrick drove all of the snakes off the emerald green island and into the ocean...where they swam to the Florida shores

Rubicon - You'd better set up a protective perimeter for your pet anoles.

Or arm them with those little plastic swords from those tropical drinks.

I was walking in my neighborhood once and found a huge alligator skin about 5' long. Before then, in my ignorance, I never thought of them shedding like a snake. My next thought was "Wow, this big thing walks among us and there was no water nearby". I was cautious going out after that but learned it was spring time and that is when they travel from place to place looking to mate and I didn't move to Jurassic Park.

dbussone: I am getting a little concerned. I didn't realize that anoles multiply like rabbits . Its becoming really expensive to keep feeding them range free insects. I am going to have to contact the University of Florida extension service to see how I can pare down "daring's "libido or open up that perimeter

naw they stick themselves the minute they went into the anole darting and shuffle routine. Unfortunately for me I discovered too late that anole's are lovers and not fighters

To paraphrase Phil Sheridan, the only good snake is a dead snake.

Default If I Had Been Adam

If I would have been Adam the garden of Eden would not have been lost.

If you recall Adam and Eve are standing under an apple tree and slithering down that apple tree is satan. and Eve says to Adam partake of this apple ....and if I had been Adam my reply would have been Eve you look lovely in your birthday suit but that snake is scaring the bejesus out of me and I'm gone. And of course God would have tripped me as I was running and said to me stop taking my son's name in vain.

The End
