That is as comparable to McCain picking Palin. Ernst is the Iowa clone of Palin - except not as intelligent as Palin - and that means sinking to the "smart as a box of lint" level.

It is true that Trump and Ernst got together this week-end to cut the balls off of some pigs, but she doesn't seem to fit his criteria of finding a VP who knows how to govern, being a junior senator with no obvious skills.
