Default Dental Experience

In the paper an add for Dental New Patient Offer for $60 then listing three different offices. I went to Magnolia office and had a good experience. I had expected not to like the experience but was pleasantly surprised.
Smiling, friendly and helpful staff. More xrays than I ever had before and a good cleaning. The dentist after the exam mentioned a couple of areas of concern(had them for years), but didn't push any work. I am now a patient and have no problem saying give them a try.
Other dentists wanted over 200 for a new patient.

Where is that office? My mother did not have a good experience at a dentist that she chose here - tired to push lots of work.

Where did you find the ad. Did the $60 include xrays and cleaning?? That sounds too good to be true.

Yes the 60 bucks is for everything and when I first saw the add I also thought too good to be true. In fact I kept a scheduled appointment for another dentist and didn't cancel until going to this place. Also I had clipped the ad several times before I called because I didn't trust it and you get what you pay for. I was concerned about going to a cattle car . The office I went to is called Magnolia dental.

The ad was in the Daily Sun and I've had it on my fridge for months. New patient offer $60, regularly $135. Exam, X-Rays, Cleaning.

I also thought it sounded too good to be true. So Herb's feedback is much appreciated.

I went to Magnolia Dental about four months ago for a cleaning and exam. They were thorough and wonderful.

sorry I don't know what up to date is. I tried them and liked them. I'm not pushing them just sharing my experience. Mainly because I was so surprised after doubting the ad. Yes it still shows up in the sun.
Sam thanks for the back up!

The ad is still in the Sun. Like Herb, I am clueless about what is up to date in a dental office. The offices appear new and so did the equipment. The staff that I dealt with were very customer oriented. Although they offer dental products like rinses, etc, they did not push them and advised of alternatives that could be purchased at any drug/Walmart store. The dental exam and cleaning were very thorough. I will go back.

Some of the new up to date equipment would be digital x-rays. Those are the type of x-rays that do not require you putting x-ray in your mouth. They use a small probe or camera and x-rays are read on the computer. Some offices use a computerized machine that will make a crown instead of sending it out to a lab. Another thing would be the scalers that are used for perio conditions where they are electronic. My main concern is that they are sterilizing equipment and rooms. They use gloves and wear the OSHA uniforms and masks. Those things not only protect the patient but the staff. If I think of more I will post it.
