Smile Would Home Grooming work in the Villages

My experienced dog groomer is looking at moving to the Ocala area and is wondering if dog owners in the Villages would be interested in her in-home grooming services. She comes to your home, washes your dog(s), grooms them and cleans up afterwards for $60/dog. She is a wonderful groomer and has been grooming my two Maltese in my home for years. Thank you for your input.

Hi,
Personally I would not want my dog groomed IN my home. Our groomer comes with a fully equipped van where she bathes and grooms our dog in her van in our driveway.

If that is what your friend is considering, I think it is popular and I've seen several offering this service here in The Villages. Do a search and you will find additional information.

Good luck.

PS
Our groomer charges $55.00

The pet store near Pier One in the Target Plaza has a sign wanting a groomer. As for I home, I don't know.

I hope that she does some research before making a big move. There are a lot of groomers around.

It will absolutely work.mwe had an in home groomer in Pittsburgh for 10 years before moving here. She would need to modify price to $35.00 per dog and she will have all the business she cares to handle.

There is a pet grooming van that comes to our neighborhood. See it about every couple weeks

Sorry but to provide the convenience of home grooming is worth more than $35.

I was recently in The Villages and just wanted my ShihTzu to get a bath when we were there. (I didn't want to bring her stuff with us!) Lexi has a puppy cut so she doesn't have a lot of hair and she had been groomed just two weeks before. I contacted a mobile groomer in TV and it was a lot more than $35 for just a bath and comb out! I ended up taking her to a groomer on 466a for her bath and comb out!

Thank you all for your input. I'll let her know that she might have to come down on her price of $60/dog. Sounds like she'll have to do some market comparisons to see what is already available and price accordingly.
