Default Further Information On The Wellness Center Pool?

Will Wellness Center members have access to an indoor pool after the move to Spanish Springs in May-June? Will they close up the pool at the old location or keep it open? Are thre plans for a new pool and/or therapy pool somewhere else? What are they telling Wellness Center members?

I am not a member..but I heard that Lake Center for Rehab or another medical outfit may take over the pool. They would use it for rehab purposes. I have even heard rumors that Brookdale (Freedom Point, etc) may take it over for their nursing home rehab patients.

Again....these are just rumors that I have heard from friends in the business...they are great ideas but would not allow wellness center members to use it.

a few updates on possibilities being explored for indoor pool exercise after the wellness center moves to their new pool-less location.
1. i along with several hundred wellness center pool users attended wednesday's meeting of the amenties advisory committe and expressed interest in having the committe explore possibilities of covering one or more of the outdoor pools. either as a part of our amenties or for a usage fee similar to that charged for the fitness rooms.

2. there are also possibilities that some private group will lease the current wellness center pool and to that end
a survey will be available at the Wellness Center Front Desk. this survey should be completed no later than 2/28/09.

there may be other plans in the works but these are the two i personally know of.

Red face indoor pool

Why is it the people at Freedom Point will be able to use all the pools in TV but Villagers will not be able to use the Freedom Point Indoor pool?

Default old wellness center pool

My friend was inquiring about the old pool. She called the Rehab center that has taken over the old wellness center and was told the pool was closed. They are thinking of closing it completely and filling it in to get more floor space.

She has asked several doctors offices if they have info, and no one seems to know what the story is. At this point in time, it seems the pool is not being used.....and it's a shame.

Curious... do you know that for a fact or are you assuming?

An agreement was made between Freedom Pointe and Villages Central Districts (them that control and operate the amenities).

The overwhelming majority of Freedom Pointe residents are former Villagers.

The agreement was all Freedom Pointe residents will pay the monthly Villages amenity fee and will have access to pools, rec centers, golf, etc. This is probably a good deal for The Villages since all of them will contribute to amenities but will probably use a lesser amount of the facilities since they will have their own indoor pool and may tend to be older residents. The only negative that I see is that Freedom Pointe is located in an area where amenities are not as plentiful and thus could lead to a little more crowding.

Freedom Pointe residents also pay substantial fees for their own amenities.

That's fine and dandy for the FP residents, but I think the question is: will non-FP villagers be able to use the FP pool? Does anybody know for sure? Are we equal or do they get special privledges?

You can be equal to the FP residents when you pay for a FP residence and accompanying amenities. These people pay substantial fees that cover both places. Your/our fees cover only TV. By the by, FP pays amenity fees to TV for each and every unit from day 1, whether it is occupied or not.
