Default Dr. Karovska and Dr. Advani

I am looking for a new primary care doctor at Premier. Would appreciate any comment on these two doctors. Also, are the accents a problem?

I don't believe that Dr Advani is a PCP. She is a Hymotologist /Oncologist. I see her. She is a great Dr and easy to understand. I See Dr Madarang as my PCP he is also a good Dr, and fairly easy to understand.

I have seen Dr Karaskova, Dr Advani, and Dr Shah at Premier. All are very easy to understand. Dr Karaskova is the most caring of the three.
Dr Advani ordered an unnecessary test and was brusque. She was my least favorite of the three, but I only saw her once.
Dr Shah is very good...specializes in Kidney Disease.

I've been seen by both and highly recommend them. Accents were no problem. They both listened well and took time to discuss issues/treatments...and made referrals as required. Follow up was appropriate.

I will correct this. I just came from Dr Advani. She is a Hemotologist/oncologist, but also Practices as a PCP. Sorry for the incorrect info. I think she would make a great PCP.

Default Premier Medical doctors

I saw Dr. Advani the other day (Lake Sumter office), and agree somewhat with RosyGail's post. Dr. Advani also ordered some unnecessary tests for me, and seemed very "test happy". She didn't address my main issue, yet may have found an underlying issue from the EKG (which The Villages Health doesn't do, probably to save money).
They wanted to take some x-rays and ultrasounds in-house. I was shocked Dr. A. didn't tell me she ordered a chest x-ray (for no reason). I refused to schedule it when the front desk gal was ready to set up for me. I am having ultrasounds done at an outside facility, even though it will take longer for an appt.
The gal at the front desk was busy and not friendly. She didn't have change for my cash payment, and made me use a credit card. A friend told me the Santa Barbara office runs a lot smoother, so I'm going there the next time, even though it's farther for me to go.
By the way, Dr. Advani is easy to understand.
