Default New Curb on Multi Modal Path @ Palmer

If this has been discussed please lead me to the thread, and I apologize, but I could not find any discussion.
There is a new raised Curb on the road side of the path that is along Palmer Cherry Hills hole #1, and the cart entrance to Winifred. It is about 10-15 feet long and is on the concrete border just where a street sign is located (lots and lots of street signs along the MMPs). When I first saw it I thought why would that be there when the MMP is bordered with curbing that is level with the path. Then in a few days I see tire marks and hard scraping along the curbing in question. It seems to me that the Curbing is out of place with the surrounding area and creates a hazard for unsuspecting cart drivers and someone is going to have an accident because of this Curb.
I know you can say "YADA YADA YADA" about driver responsibility, but I am puzzled as to why money was spent in this area and the Curbing was added. Please help me understand without just yacking about speeding, poor drivers, and all the other things that I would probably agree with, but do not answer the question.

Take a picture and show us what you are concerned about. AND of course do what Bogie Shooter says.

Looks like it might have been put there to keep numnuts from from driving off the mmp with their carts and running into the sign.

this was done about a month ago, and I agree probably so carts wont hit the sign....except now instead of hitting the sign drivers will run into curbing and be thrown from cart....It actually is hard to see that the flat normal curbing suddenly raises up about 6" a good idea might be to paint it yellow like they have done before all the island separations

Looks to me that the area might have held water. By placing the curd the water can sheet flow along the curb and dissipate into the grass area. I have seen this in many areas.

I agree about the new risk of being thrown from the cart. There are two other new ones that made me raise my eyebrows. One on Morse south by Caroline and one on 466 as you head west past the curves past the sheriff's office.

I know what they were trying to do, but IMO they have created these new launch ramps which if hit would be worse that the object (tree) they were protecting us from hitting. To me a nice reflecting sign (JMO)

I will take pictures if I think about it...

PS. No I am not calling anyone, I will live with it happily, just adding my 2 cents to a conversation for fun...

The one on Morse was a surprise. It would be better to have it marked in some way.

I just passed the one on 466 today. A real surprise. Right in a curve. Almost hit it. Not marked, no reflectors. Someone is going to get hurt bad when they hit one.
