I went to Florida on vacation and came home with a house in TV!!!

Well, almost...DH and I are awaiting the results of a home inspection to be conducted this Wednesday. If the report is a good one, we're in!

We have purchased a home in the historic district of Silver Lake and will be snowbirds for the next few years. We are both recent early retirees and still have our primary home at the Jersey shore and a vacation home in Maine [getting 10 to 15 inches of snow as I type!]. We will have the best of all worlds with summer at the Jersey shore, fall in New England and the winter in Florida; spring is open for whatever might look good at the time!

Am thinking I'll hang out here for a few days to learn more about what we have done while I anxiously await the news of the home inspection. You all seem like a great bunch of folks I hope to soon call neighbors. Wish us luck!

Sounds like you have a dream retirement planned...it will be great to meet you one Friday at the Crisper's TOTV luncheon...next one will be March 20, I believe....you will love it here....if you want to be recognized at the mardi gras at LSL on Tuesday, just post your description here and give us a time to look for you at the clock...we are a friendly bunch...

Super idea! I have been hanging out here for a while and it's well worth your time. There is a wealth of information and you are in wonderful company!
