Default Hiding the air conditioner compressor

Hello,

We just moved in and have a courtyard villa. We would like to have some screening around the air conditioning compressor on concrete in the courtyard. What have some of you used?

Are you going for a functional screen to keep debris from getting in there? Or are you going for an aesthetic decorative look to block out that ugly compressor? I would make sure whatever it put around it allowed airflow around the compressor. I would think any place with a home and garden section would have some nice lattice that could protect it somewhat from weed eaters and mowers.

We just planted some shrubbery around it... not too close. Just have to make sure the air flow is not obstructed.

Before you plant or build anything I suggest you talk with your AC contractor. Blocking the air flow can reduce effeciency and made void the warranty.
