Why pay the bank's outrageous handling fees and poor exchange rate?
The smartest way is like this - post in a forum.
Try the Travel Section of TOTV or stop by a Travel Club meeting.
That's the way we buy ours. We round up about 1% to make it even dollars and euros for the rate in effect on the day we buy.

Once in Europe, use your bank debit card from an affiliated bank and get euros that way at wholesale exchange and no bank fee (like B of A and Barclays).

If you have a Bank of America credit card, there is no fee. Just go to the Bank of America in Pinellas Plaza (or on 466?). You must pay in cash, however. Their exchange rate is competitive.
