Default Difficulty scrolling just on this Forum.

Anyone having difficulty getting their mouse to effect the up and down movement of scrolling on this Forum? It only happens to me here. Also when attempting to type the little circle appears, not allowing me to keystroke in the usual way. There is also an arrow within a little box on the right side of my screen.

Anyone know anything about why this is happening?

I've always had problems with this site just doing all kinds of goofy things. It seemed to be the scripts. I just installed an add on called "noscript" that has helped dramatically. I use Mozilla Firefox, but there should be a similar add on for whatever browser you use. Just Google "no script add on" and you should see some information.

On the other hand, if this isn't your problem then this wouldn't be the solution. In that case, carry on.

For a few days the site appeared to be very slow, and I was having similar problems, especially with typing, only every other or every third letter appeared on the screen, then if I waited 15 or more seconds, the letter would appear. I had not noticed the scroll wheel problem, but this may be an artifact with IE11. I have this problem big tie on the AARP website, found that using Chrome or Edge eliminated the scrolling the problem.

It was doing it today to me Mrs Gracie. I just rebooted the computer and I was good to go. Downloading Firefox was the answer when I was using a Windows computer.

There are so many ads and scripts running on this site that it causes many different problems. There are several things you can do to minimize the issues.

Don't follow the links on ads. It's fine to open the item for sale on the main site, but clicking to see the price on the ad site causes script issues.

Google Chrome seems to have less problems then IE or Mozzilla. I have found I can't even use IE and go to this site.

If using Mozilla, install ad on's of ad blocker and noscripts.

Always close the browser tab when you are done looking at TOTV. They have ads that start automatically while on different tabs.

I know the owners need to make a profit in order to make this site available to us and I support their business's that advertise here when possible.

Taking these steps will not eliminate the problems, but it will help minimize them

I have never had problems on this site until the past 2 weeks. It never fully loads, it freezes up, hard time scrolling, etc. I have to close it and re open it. I have used all browzers.
This is definitely a TOTV site problem.
Now this morning it seems to be okay. We shall see.

Yes, terrible this morning. As I write it is 10:25am and I have been hung up on a script since I started to read this post. The whole site is becoming impossible to navigate, much too slow and script after script. I have to end up shutting down the computer and leaving it for a while. I thought the problem was with my computer, it's good to know that I am not alone with this problem.

I know the owners need to make money, but they are going to lose money if they don't find a way of managing these problems.

I think the ads are getting way over the top. Twice last week I heard someone talking. It was one of the ads on this site.

Default The 'cost' of the site being free to members....

Sponsors ads pay the bills for the site, so the rest of us can come on here without paying anything.

Hard to have it both ways.

We are all very grateful to this site and to the sponsors that support it.

I don't think this glitch has any relation to this wonderful capitalistic endeavor. I think it is something else entirely.
