I am and have been a member of the GOP for 50 years. I have been a vocal opponent of Clinton and Obama.

Trump represents of the many announced GOP candidates, the single only person I find and have found an extremely repulsive human being in all areas, and he continues that way in his politics as he has in the past.

My registration has been changed to indepependent, and I will not vote on the Presidential race, but will vote on the down ticket.

Totally agree I also am no longer a GOP member(also an independent) I'm so glad a Democrat called out the House today for holding more meetings on Emails instead of getting down to business with Zika, the poisoned water in Michigan, the gov. shutting down in 3 weeks, all because they are worried that this loud mouth baffoon keeps running his mouth with stupid ramblings. If the GOP had a half way decent candidate this would not be going on. I voted Republican at least twice before and have no inclination to vote for a narcissistic sociopath who throughout his life has put himself over just about everyone else.

I do wish they had got a much more attractive candidate than who they have now.

At least with Hillary Clinton you have the check-and-balance of the right wing press but with Donald Trump with his army of lawyers and billions to pay them to fight his many battles there are few real checks-and-balances especially if he tries to muzzle the press and put in some kind of martial law all in the name of law-and-order.
