Smile Halloween in the Squares

Good morning, has anyone been in the squares on Halloween? This is my first Halloween in TV. I wanted to decorate my golf cart and wear a costume but I didn't want to be the ONLY one! Also, are there children that come into the squares for trick or treat? Don't know whether to buy candy? Anyone that has experienced the squares on Halloween I would love to find out info. Thank you and have a super day!!

Lots of people wear costumes to the squares. Halloween is a great time. I haven't seen children trick or treating at the squares so I'm not sure about that.

For the past 2 or 3 years they've set up a huge tent at Brownwood on the street between the theater and City Fire. Children from the local area and I guess visiting grandkids go through the tent and collect candy, I can't remember who the donors are.

The entertainement at Brownwood is geared toward Halloween. I believe it was the band Uncle Bob's Rock Shop who played and before 5pm they had other entertainement, the Shaka Dancers were one of the acts, and they did a great Thriller Dance. You can see them at last Halloween at Brownwood at this link.

Saw Shaka Dancers' Thriller at SS. It was a hit. Will watch at which square they will perform at this year.

Browwood has trunk and treat, with the yesteryear cart club. Kids trick or treat around the square. Stilt walkers dressed up in hollow eerie dress. Tent is a not so scary haunted tent. Yes there are those who dress up. We go to Disney almost the same night as the Brownwood event. But have enjoyed it at least once. It's a nice safe place for kids to come from other areas.

You'd almost think that some people dressed for Halloween every day at the squares.......
