Default Village "Personalities"?

I'll be coming to visit TV soon, but wondering... do each of the villages have a "personality"? I plan on renting for a week, but I really don't know which village to rent in. Spanish Spring Town Square is very appealing - but it seems like there are villages popping up all the time, all over the place and I'm confused!! Is there a nice area between the two squares? Any opinions?

I believe by the last count there are now 59 villages. The brand newest are Bonita, Hemmingway, Hadley and Amelia with Duval and ????............someone help me here, right in there with them. They are all absolutely wonderful and easy to get from one area to another. If you want to see them on a map, look up The Villages Mercantile store and call them and order the most up to date map for five dollars. It is priceless.

I live in Hadley and it is my pick for the best, but I think my grandchildren are the smartest too.

The personality of each "Village" is pretty much dictated by the people who live there! The developer may choose the look, style and theme, but the people create the mood and excitement!!!

[QUOTE=Russ_Boston;195393]Gracie - Your grandchildren ARE the smartest.

How could they not be!

PS - I'm thinking I have a long wait before any make their way into my family!

One Village with a unique personality comes to mind... Santiago. I believe it is the only Village with a restaurant (not a country club)right in the middle of the Village (Santiago Club). Plus, there seems to be much larger back yards between homes in Santiago.

If you're only here for a week, don't be concerned about the neighbors or personality. Look for the most convenient location to golf, shopping, restaurants, squares, etc. I love the location of the villages around Southern Trace/Buffalo Ridge. They're in the middle, have great recreation trails (south of 466) and are convenient to everything by golf cart. Look at www.thevillages4rent.com and do a search according to village. Maybe you'll hit upon our house in Ashland Village! It's #224 on that site.
Ashland, Bonneybrook, Tall Trees, Lynnhaven, Belvedere and Winifred to me have the most convenient location. IMHO
