My neighbor and I usually play one of the championships once or twice a week around 1pm, the after 11am rate of $23 is hard to beat. We don't get a Priority Membership, it only saves $3 in the summer, besides we've got cheap rates until October 15th. So last October we figured we'll play Palmer one last time, because it has the highest green fees, especially in the winter. So we go there around October 5th expecting $26 and they say, $50. We go, what happened, they said, I guess you didn't hear 'Winter rates go in effect Oct 1st starting this year'.

Now we always check the rates in advance, so remember, October 1st you have to pay more to play. Basically what goes on is the after 11am discount goes away and then they tack on another $10 or so. Now we become 9 hole golfers, but you have to wait until 1pm or later to play 9 holes. They'll go even higher January 1st, that's when we become an executive golfers.
