Thank you for your concern. There was a huge amount of emergency vehicles and some ambulances may have been dispatched to hospitals. OK here but somewhat shook.

We bumped into the Sheriffs who handled the accident at Bob Evans and they told us they made arrangements for about a half dozen people to be taken to hospital. I just don't know how serious their injuries are.

Prayers for the injured. Will be interesting to find out what the driver says (don't remember anything, medical episode, hit the accelerator instead of the brake).

Very sad situation. Happened soon after 6:30 PM. I passed by a little after prior to emergency vehicles . Many people around assisting. Car appeared to jump the curb and busted thru the railing . Car hood was very much into the outdoor seating area. Luckily there appeared to be no fire.

My golden and I were the 1st ones at the 4 way stop next to Sonnys. I waited for the fellow to make a left turn in front of us. He seemed to turn 90 degrees then back to about a 45 The engine revved to what seemed wide open and the tires were spinning and squealing as he jumped the curb and into the bar area. I was so shocked that I couldn't react for a few seconds. My take was that he made the turn, saw the detour sign and thought he was hitting the brake but hit the gas instead. Seemed like a logical conclusion from my view point?
