I didn't get to add my two cents on the topic of golf carts crossing the white line in diamond lane before it got closed. And I know You all are JUST DIEING TO HERE IT!

First: I cross white line all the time. Especially when people are walking facing traffic. WHY? I DON"T WANT TO HIT THEM.

Second: I cross it well in advance when the coast is clear to make left hand turn. WHY Cause I don't want to try to cross at the intersection in the diamond lane.

Third: I get passed all the time by faster non street legal golf carts racing to there next tee time. HOW DO I KNOW THIS? Golf clubs on the cart.

fourth: When people with dogs are facing traffic or standing on side of the road I move over. crossing the white line if the coast is clear. WHY I DON"T want to hit the dog in case it jumps at the cart.

last: how and the H am I going to get around the landscapers trucks parked in the diamond lanes?

So the white line is there to mark the diamond lane for both cars and carts to know where there lanes are. NOWAY meant to be that you can NEVER CROSS IT!
