Default Help Finding a Vietnam Era Vet

Looking for a vet who served in the Air Force during the Vietnam war. He was definitely in Thailand but may have also served elsewhere. Would appreciate suggestions for websites or other resources since basic internet searches haven't been helpful. This veteran was in Thailand in the early 1970s.

I have some resources that might do the trick, but I would need his name, AFSC (what was his job?), and any other info that would help, such as rank, unit, hometown, etc. If I found him, I would then provide your info to him. Whether he would contact you would be up to him.

Thank you for the response. You have touched on our biggest problem. We don't have any of that information. We have a first and last name, and the fact that he was in the Air Force in Thailand in the early 70s. We're hoping anyone might know of resources that might help us figure out any of that information and therefore we would have a chance of finding him.

I served in the USAF in thailand in 1969 there are a number of websites out there for those that served if you knew where he was stationed in country you could post on the base site. othere than that if you know where he lived you might be abke to track pieces of information down. good luck it's going to be tough. what is the persons name?

Another option if he is still alive would be go to the INTELIUS website and do a search using his first and last name. You can cut the numbers based on his possible age..60+. That will narrow down to city and state. Then for $$$, INTELIUS will give you more information.
It's amazing how much of our private information is available on the internet with only a search by name.

If an adoptee or similar is looking for a relative, there are free "search angel" groups who help you use DNA and other resources to work toward finding and confirming him and/or his other close relatives. Even if that's not the case, their non-DNA strategies may be useful. One very well regarded group is is DNA Adoption dot com (no spaces.)
