Install a real valve or secure it in with a ty-rap

And I thought you were talking about the button on the turkey......

OK on the serious side, you could make sure the valve is all the way in, it should snap into place. If it does not, Mike Scott plumbing seems to have a lot of good reviews on this site. Also, if you are adventurous there are some YouTube videos on changing these valves out. I have not done this yet, so I do not have first hand experience.

Our sink valves have all of a sudden started popping. They are easy to reset but I want to know what is causing them to pop? Are the valves bad or is there something else going on? Anyone have experience on here with this situation?

Thanks

I rushed to it. I did not know what "it" referred to and I was hoping it was not when some male golf cart driver hangs a little too loose for their and everyone else's good.

Smile Not the valves, but a pressure tank.

The problem is related to a defective pressure relief expansion tank located (of all places) in the lines around the water heater. This is actually rather commonplace in The Villages. The defective tank was replaced for us by Mike Scott plumbing for what was a quite reasonable price for a plumbing job. (I don't recall what it was, but remember that I was pleased.)

Before I had the tank replaced, the valves under the sink and the valve to the water tank on the toilet were popping out all the time. No problem in the last three years since I had the tank replaced.

Nor could the readers of this post. As they say in the South, you are a hoot - bless your heart!

Carl: You are absolutely correct and this topic "pops up"
(pun intended) frequently. Its my understanding that the tanks have about a 3-4 year lifespan, and the tanks are suppose to be mounted on the incoming flow line

This reminds me of the before Viagra era during the cold war when you would read;

What to do in case of Fallout.

(put it back in an begin again was a common answer)
