Arrow Trump saved 1,000 jobs in Carrier

BREAKING: Trump team and United Technologies reach agreement on keeping close to 1,000 factory jobs in Carrier plant in Indiana.

This is before he gets sworn in!

I didn't see this confirmed but reported by CNBC

How did he do that (other than just taking credit for it)...and what is the rest of the story?

U don't stay on top of the real news do ya

Turn off CNN

He called the CEO on Thanks Giving day and made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

A deal-maker not like Hilly she was sleeping, Obama couldn't do either

What's "usual" about it? Do you have any clue as to what politicians are supposed to do?

I know politicians say things that even they don't believe just to be elected, they lie, they make promises that they know that they won't keep and they take credit for things that they had nothing to do with. Should I go on......

Nothing political has much merit.
The difference between a decision making, commitment making executive is following through and obtaining results based on a promise or a forecast....quite simply promises kept VS promises made. Unlike politicians there is commitment and accountability.

Trump is not politics as usual.
Will he have to play the game domestically and world wide?
Certainly.

Just look at how he is matching the needs of the jobs he is filling with capability VS the establishment crony method of filling jobs with those who support the agenda regardless whether they are capable or not.

What Trump knows and practices is negotiating to achieve an objective. Unlike Obama who has no concept whatsoever of how to negotiate. Obama will concede anthing to get something for his agenda.
Trump will negotiate to make the deal.

Let's have this discussion again on the 101st day he is in office.

Some folks have to throw away the only yardstick they ever had....the political one. We successfully voted against that a couple of weeks ago!!

What they're "supposed to do" and what they actually do are diametrically opposed. They're supposed to work for the people, they really work for the corporations and powerful...and of course...themselves.

So then...WHY do we keep voting for them? Everybody knows the Ds and Rs BOTH lie to us...so why do we keep electing them? I voted 3rd party, I refuse to vote for a "lesser" EVIL. If we ALL voted 3rd party we COULD "drain the swamp". A vote for a 3rd party makes their total go up, not the Ds or the Rs...it's part of the lies they tell us...it's NOT a vote for "the other guy", it's a vote against them both. We have the government we voted for, we should have voted for someone else. A REAL outsider.

You've been fooled...again. Trump is business as usual...or he WON'T survive the electoral college vote next month. They will NOT allow their carefully crafted system to be taken apart by one man. There will be an accident, he won't make it to inauguration or much after if he's really a rogue. The VP will then play ball...and the borrowing and spending and getting rich will continue.

Wow, aren't you a ray of sunshine? I don't know why you bother. What keeps you living, enjoying others folks discomfort, or just ranting and raving like a lunatic?

What keeps me living? I'm in a white paradise...what could be better? Golfing soon so this will be short.

Why do so many of you consider merely stating facts to be ranting and raving? I believe my typing is quite calm and to the point. The ranting and raving is coming from the women who disagree and can't seem to find anything to refute my ideas.

So, Ms MLDBR or whatever your name is...got something to say? Or are you just here to harass me again?

Trump promised to create 25 million private sector jobs. What is 25 million less 1,000?

Did Trump promise to create those jobs BEFORE he was sworn in? I don't recall him saying that.

Are you working on being a bad loser, or are you just a bad loser?
