Default Gas BBQ needed quick

I was wondering if anyone knew of a place I can buy a gas BBQ assembled and delivered?? My kids are coming this weekend and staying the week. My son-in-law loves to BBQ and I just moved in so I don't have one and of course I'm not mechanical at all so even buying one, I couldn't put it together - and where do you get those gas tank things?? Any help would be appreciated....

I'd start by calling Home Depot or Lowes, if no luck there let your fingers do the walking...................GN

He's gonna be there for a week, right?

A. When he gets there, take him out and have him pick one out in your price range.
B. He will find out where to buy the gas tank.
C. He will assemble the whole thing.
D. He will barbeque on it first for his favorite mother-in-law.
E. Everybody will oooo and ahhhhh and grin over the fine job he did.

You can get the gas tank filled at Ace Hardware in Southern Trace. They also have grills and might be more likely to assemble it for you. Walmart has grills on CR466.
Maybe you could wait till the son-in-law gets here and he could get one for you........he will not be able to do anything else since it will be raining.

Best to not buy a tank but to rent from Blue Rhino or whatever in front of various stores.

Cost a little more but much more convenient.

If you buy a new tank make sure you tell the person filling it that it needs to be purged first before its first fill.

Blue Parrot Camp Grounds on Hwy 25 off of Griffin Road (in front of Perkins on 441) fills propane tanks also.

Your problem is not buying a grill BUT how will you get it home. Home Depot has some decent grills for $199 and you can rent a truck from them to make the delivery UNLESS you know someone with avan or pickup. Even a closed box unassembled will not fit in most car trunks.

Thanks for all the advice...(especially Tony for giving me a laugh about my son-in-law getting and assembling it). I think thats the best solution and after all he did say he "wanted to help me with anything I needed" sooooooooooooo we'll see!!

I can see that buying anything that I can't get in my car myself is going to present a problem...I was thinking of getting some furniture for the lanai but my car will never accomodate that size stuff.

Thanks again everyone..... Charlene

The truck that Home Depot or Lowe's rents is a 1 Ton Flat Bed with low sides that will handle patio furniture and a barbeque in one trip. I believe it costs $19.95 for 75 minutes. The time starts after they loaded it and you have paid for the stuff. You will need help unloading.

Charlene,

Handie also provides pick-up and delivery. He picked up some bikes I bought and put them in our garage for me. It was a great help and a big surprise for my husband. You can contact him through a PM on this forum.
