Default Downsizing?

I'm guessing when the new regime takes over, one plan used by many contemporary executives is rightsizing the workforce. What this means to me is that Federal employees will be used to cut government expenses. Probably, literally thousands of Government employees in targeted departments will have their jobs eliminated to meet these objectives.
Any thoughts?

IMO, those that drive cars with pro 'Obama' and 'Hillary' bumper stickers on them should be the first to go.

Thumbs down Award

I always said the person(s) who developed the description called "Downsizing" should receive an Outstanding Award. Go to Western Pennsylvania in the 30's and 40's and tell
John L Lewis you are letting people go because you are Downsizing. You would be thrown out of his office and he would go after you. The true word is LAYING PEOPLE OFF".
When I think of the BS from Washington and this relatively new description of denying a person an adquate living I think of the genius that thought of "Downsizing" and how the public bought into it.!!!

Eliminating unnecessary jobs is not denying anyone an adequate living. If the positions are not necessary, why are we paying for them? The people in those positions are basically stealing from the tax payers. they have every right to go and find comparable jobs in the private sector.

Forbes Welcome

The first building that will be turned into a parking lot will be the Medicare Building. There will be no need to process claims. Every member gets a voucher, and when that money is gone, you are on your own. DC needs more parking lots.

The next buildings to be torn down will be the VA Hospitals, when the VA is privatized. All the doctors, nurses, staff and hospitals will be gone. Tear it down.

How often do you utilize the medical services provided by the VA, and what has your experience been?

These federal employees were hired (think of all of Obama's Czars , there staffs, their offices, their payroll) to ensure that these "employees" would be loyal their benefactors & vote for liberals forever to save their unnecessary jobs.

It is apparent when the uninformed and the partisan/media bent parrots venture into a subject they know absolutely nothing about.

Down sizing in the federal government is done by attrition. It's been done in the past. Employees were offered early retirements also. I worked in Baghdad with a guy that had been given a nice early retirement package by the gov, then they hired him over there as a "consultant" doing the same thing he was doing when he retired. The gov is great at looking good while they waste money.

Why do we have VA hospitals at all? Why not just give veterans excellent insurance plans and let them go to the doctors and hospitals of their choice. Put the money into Medicare, give them Medicare and a supplemental. That's got to be a lot less expensive than running the VA health care system.

Unfortunately the DHHS secretary nominee Rep/Dr. Tom Price (R-GA) promises he will do away with Medicare in six to eight months, so turning the VA over to Medicare is not an option.

Drain the swamp of all those Medicare forms processors. Who do they think they are?

Please provide a reference to whatever/wherever you picked up that he "promises" to do away with Medicare.
