Trump election: Michelle Obama tells Oprah Winfrey America lacks hope - BBC News

I guess she is no longer proud to be American.

One could almost laugh but for the fact that the antics taking place are quite harmful to our nation. Everyone needs to take a break and recognize that the sky is not really falling.

More hope than ever. Markets all time highs. And Christmas and Hanukkah are both back.

I agree the sky is not falling but we all have a reason to be concerned about this new Trump/Putin administration.

Look at that look on Trump...he could care less what he has to say. He's thinking "how am I going to get this f@cking smell out?"

The sky IS falling...there's a giant meteor heading towards us...it's the minority majority...when it arrives, it will destroy this nation, this culture.

Give objective voice to your concerns. Tell us where you secured the fact checked information that you allege above. Separate it from the innuendo and false narratives coming from every liberal crevice.

And how can anyone critique Trump's performance/actions before he has had a chance to even initiate them?

Its like telling an employee s/he has a bad performance evaluation before the employee even had shown up for his/her first day at work

This whole liberal emotional affront toward Trump again is almost comical if it wasn't so harmful to this nation.

My concerns I think are real..you did not reply to me, but assume you want to know why people other than you and other "believers" have concerns.

Present time

I am extremely, not a little, but extremely concerned about the total and complete lack of transparency. No, he need not, by law submit his tax reforms, but using his own thoughts about being a unique President relative to his business....I am deeply concerned about his huge, and he and family have said this, HUGE investments in foreign countries, and his PERSONAL dependence on banks and individuals in those countries. I get even more "suspicious" each day that he refuses to be open with the country about his relationships with..a) countries not friendly b) terrorists states c) terrorist organizations. I believe these to be serious and extremely consequential issues.

Future

I hope that as of January 20, he will show more support for his own country. Tearing down, verbally, all our institutions may be exciting for some to hear, but derailing and weakening our systems without any positive forward steps is EXACTLY the goal of our enemies. They do not need the help of the US administration.

He is going to be criticized. It is simply going to happen. I hope he grows up and understands that the playground responses to criticism, not only detract from his position, but also our own country.

Sooner or later some low level IRS employee will leak Trump's tax returns and then we will all know what foreign countries he is indebted to.
Surprised it hasn't happened long before this.

Actually, the fact it has not leaked makes me more concerned, and I cannot even explain why.

Those who shrug off this subject, I believe are very very foolish, but would love the day I can come on here and here someone say...I told you so. I would sincerely welcome that.

Again, I nor most Americans could care less what rate he paid or anything like that.

Wow, aren't you the busybody? You are more concerned about how much money someone makes than about Hilary's obvious violation of federal national security laws. Nothing partisan about you....nope....

Yep, the title of the thread is "Comic Relief." You have a valid point.

Michelle said "For the first time I am proud to be an American."

Now she says "Americans no longer have hope."

Well lady (used loosely) if you hope in one hand and sh*t in the other, and clap them together you get what this administration has given America.

Like Obama said "Elections have consequences..." And he sure validated that comment during the last 8 years. Now, the shoe is on the other foot and maybe we will see things put right. With Obama, only minorities and liberals benefited. With Trump, EVERYONE should benefit. Of course, if you give a liberal a new car, they will complain about the color of it.
