This follows the truck attack in Germany.

Russian spokesman just said they know this was an act to damage relations with others and as retribution for Russian attacks in Syria, but nothing will change politically.

That's what they usually say before invading a country. Then again, perhaps they are telling the truth when they say "nothing will change politically" emphasis on "politically."
