Unhappy Pasco County: Three dead in golf cart accident.

Three dead in golf cart traffic crash in Pasco, 1 injured - Story | abcactionnews.com | Tampa Bay News, Weather, Sports, Things To Do | WFTS-TV

This was late at night on a poorly lighted road. Pasco County though and not the Villages. The four occupants of the golf cart were thrown out of it after a jeep rear-ended it. One person survived as of the report.

Tragic, yes. Likely in The Villages, no.

The report says it happened at 2 am. It happened on a dark unmarked road. Didn't the golf cart have lights turned on? Alcohol not a factor? Four young people driving in a golf cart on a dark unmarked road at 2 am probably without headlights on?

Roads in The Villages are well marked and well lighted. No golf cart - or other traffic at 2 am.

The story is still developing. Not sure if they had their headlights on or not but there are dips in the road where this happened.

This this a golf cart licensed for the road? Are golf carts allowed on this road? May be a moot issue if thy had taillights since they were rear ended. The description of the road included dark unlighted
Dips in the road certainly supports one reason that the driver of the Jeep missed sight of the cart...Tragic.

My sister-law-lives on a golf course near spring Hill and is vising us for Christmas dinner. I am going to see if she has additional information
