Default Front Porch Improvement Recommendations

I'm looking for recommendations for contractors who will do front porch improvements. Could be as simple as some concrete extension. Or possibly a bit more extensive, like aesthetic enhancements, furniture, some landscaping, etc. We're open to all possibilities for enhancement of our (currently very basic) front porch area.

Thanks.

Be careful, it appears my neighbor MAY have had the wire to their post light nicked during this type of work, and now several months later the wire has failed....estimated at several hundred dollars to replace/repair.

As part of our enhanced landscaping project, we had the front gutter downspouts buried, and run underneath the concrete walk, with a joint pop-up drain in the yard. (Make sure your contractor uses piping that has some sort of weep holes in it, otherwise the water may back up and seep out of the joint at the bottom of the gutter.) We then had the dirt beds at the front door taken out and replaced with concrete. (Jamie's Landscaping did all of this, including arranging the concrete and moving irrigation.) We previously had expanded the driveway, (from the golf cart garage), so after the front walkway was completed, (and cured), we had Go Concrete come and do a custom concrete design with paint and epoxy so all the front concrete is uniform. It looks wonderful, plus it now keeps most of the dirt from the front door area!

We added an oversized door mat (from Frontgate), a bench, and a couple of colorful wicker chairs, (from Bealls), with cushions and pillows at the front door. A couple of plants in larger ceramic pots will be added in the spring.

We are now weighing whether to screen in the front door area for flow through breezes and further protect the front door area from dirt and insects. We were originally set to do this, but with the concrete projects finished, there is noticeably a lot less dirt, so we are waiting to see if we proceed with screening it or not.
