Default I see David L finally apologized

On the radio this morning they were saying can you imagine the fallout if DL made that comment about the Obama family. I thought to myself I think he knows better. Obama would make the show take TARP money, he’d fire DL and replace him with a comedy czar.

LOL That's a good one. Lettermen stopped being a comedian a long time ago. His show has been nothing but a political stage for the democrats. He is an activist plain and simple and his network is also to blame.
Think about it: If your in the business to attract people for money (advertisers) why would you turn-off 50% of your audience? That is positive proof that the network has an agenda.
The same with the movies....Hollywood made around 8 anti-war movies during the Bush years. They all lost money in the theaters. Apparently, making money and capitalism were not their driving force.
Johnny Carson must be shaking his head and rolling his eyes. Both sides of the aisle could laugh at his jokes.

Probably not is a good guess !

Why would I want to see it ? What would be the reasoning for anyone to go and see it ?

Letterman is an idiot....the others you mention are idiots and although you are a party gal...it does not matter the party...those who say these stupid inane things are just plain stupid and it does not matter their politics !

Why you would defend Letterman with a comeback about....what the others guys did is simply amazing !

I didn't see or read what he said or how he apologized, I just think its disgusting, no matter which side you are on, to talk about people's families or the way they look. Its rude and uncalled for. Matter of fact, I haven't thought Letterman has been funny for years and I never equated it to his politics, he just ISN'T funny!
A few years back, Richard Simmons was on his show, and Richard's mother had just past away. Well, Letterman was so rude to him about, you had a mother?, and other stupid jokes, that it made Richard cry. Now, I am not a Richard Simmons fan, but I just try to treat each and every individual the way I would want to be treated, and he was disgusting and rude. I never watched that show again, nor will I ever. That's my 2 cents. Oops, am I in political? Boomer, get me outta here. Its past my bedtime.

Really, agenda and activist? Some sort of buzz words? When Sarah Palin started parading those kids around during the campaign, they, unfortunately, were made fair game by HER! Of course, your immediate remarks that if it were something about Obama everyone would be up in arms. He didn't parade around a pregnant 17 year old like Palin did to use for HER agenda that this girl is a poster child against abortion. She certainly wasn't a poster child for "just say no!" Just admit it, a politician is just that, a politician! They would use their own mothers to forward their agendas. If a television personality makes a poor joke, then chide the jokester and don't support his programming anymore. Why is it a political conversation to begin with?

OH NO!!!!! Kathie! Kathie! Kathie! I was just getting ready to log out, turn off the iPod and hit the sack when I saw your name come up in the political forum.

And I thought, "Heeeeere I come to saaaave the daaaay!!! Boomer is on her waaaaay."

Kathie! Kathie! Kathie!! Picture me with the cyberhook!!!! I am dragging you out of here. I only come in on the full moon mostly. But I am here to drag you out.

I do not know what Letterman said either. Do not even think about Letterman. Letterman is from Indiana. You would think he would have good sense and manners. He went to Ball State I think. He was in a class with a friend of mine. (Or was that Jane Pauley?? Or was that the Garfield guy????) Letterman has been making my skin crawl for a few years and so I never watch him anymore. He is past his prime. I hate to say that. Because he was in a class with a friend of mine. My friend is not past his prime. Oh nooooo. I am babbling. (I don't like Palin either. She caused me to break up with John. Had to write that Dear John letter. Ohhhh, I am babbling bad. It is after midnight.) Kathie!! Kathie!! Here comes the cyberhook. It comes for you.

Boomer!

I was having the exact same thoughts but you said them better even if you were up too late. I especially agree that someone from Indiana should have better manners. We Ohio and Indiana people generally have excellent manners up to right before we kill you.

Only here would it be considered Political. But you are dead on with the agenda she had. But it was said as a joke, maybe DL isnt what he use to be. But it dont matter. I would hate to see how this country woud look if everytime someone made a bad remark or joke about someone it made headlines.

But now a days you can spin anything into a political debate..
