Default Number of Homes in The Villages

What is the number of homes in the Villages that are built or planned? Including the recently disclosed land purchases for new homes.

Has anyone done a tally?

Is the count approaching 70,000 homes (built + planned)?

The current count is, I believe, about 57,000. The number that is planned is probably about 3000 in Fenney and perhaps another 2000 still to be built over in Fruitland Park. Numbers for other areas is probably pure speculation.

Get a Carnival Wheel and give it a spin. Make sure that at least half of the slots say "I Don't Know". There is no answer to your question as far as the end number. The rite now number could be had somehow I guess but I don't have it...Sorry.

The Villages has more than doubled in size since 2010. As of April 2016, the total population of The Villages reached 157,000 people, due to new areas stretching from Fruitland Park to South SR 44. (Wikipedia)

So if you make the broad assumption of 2 per household you get around 75000. Considering some have 1 and some have more than 1 it might be close to that number. Or not!

Using the info from the Daily Sun Article about New TV homes planned.
