Default Mexican Economics 101

A man walks into a bar in The Villages.
"Bartender, I'll have a Corona," he says and flips a 5 dollar bill on the bar.
Bartender says, "The price has gone up from $5.00 to $6.00 to cover Trump's Mexican import tax."
Man puts another dollar on the bar and drinks his beer.

Remind me who's going to pay for that wall.

Well oresented. Was thinking of this earlier.

I honestly wish our new President succes, but find it a bit wacky as he embraces Russia, wants to lift sanctions on them, while fighting with Mexico who has not even said a bad word about us.

And lastly, listening to his talk in Philly where he speaks of using American processed steel for the pipeline, I wondered how much that will increase the cost.

By the way, on Fox, while he spoke, the scroll across the bottom said that our unemployment is so low that it has reached the number where economists call it no unemployment.

Same scroll said statistics show that illegal immigration has descended each year for the last few and is now at an almost all time low, although I might dispute that without more research because just prior to the election, seems there was a surge.

Again, taxes, trade, health care etc all need work, but just ignoring the blather and looking at facts, I am wondering a lot, especially about debt. Great to hear Ryan, at least mention the debt.

But you nailed who will pay for that wall, which if you read the wording could be a big fence instead.

How Low Can the Unemployment Rate Go? - WSJ

"One key question for the U.S. labor market this year: How low can the unemployment rate actually go?"

Hopefully what will happen is that the man will change his beer preference to Yuengling or Sam Adams creating more of a demand for American products and more jobs so those companies can keep up with that higher demand.

If you are in favor or higher wages, the one thing that can drive up wages is a glut of available workers.

The unemployment rate is a phony number anyway. It only counts the number of people on the unemployment compensation rolls. It doesn't count people whose benefits have expired and have stopped looking for work. Nor does it count people who were laid of and took jobs for less money than they were making before.

The actual number of unemployed is much greater, (some sources say two or three times) than the "official" number.

The only way to ever stop the problem, is to start prosecuting those who hire undocumented workers...and put them in jail!

So, I wonder which Morse family members will...'take one for the team?'

SO, liberals are in favor of low waged illegal aliens in the work force. But, they also want to make them legal. So, once they make them legal, they decide they now want union wages and then take America jobs. The price of goods and services go up, but the illegals are no longer illegal. Americans lose their well paying jobs to the now legal, illegals. Then there is no one to do the low paying farm jobs because they want union jobs, since they are now legal.

Mexico gets taxed higher and the Democrats decide that Americans will suffer higher prices to make up for it. And yet, they do not feel that raising the minimum wage scale will cause the prices to go up to compensate. WHY?

Liberals say they do not want to lower the corporate tax rate or give tax breaks to rich big business because it's not fair. They want to raise the tax rate for the wealthy, but for some reason do not feel that the wealthy or big business will compensate by higher prices for goods and services. WHY?

Liberals seem to be blatantly avoiding common sense and logic.

If you are so uptight about the Morse family, why do you live here? You do know that they subcontract, don't you? So, why do you assume that the Morse family hires illegals? Do you have proof, or do you just enjoy slandering them? Or, is your wealth envy so great that you miserably have a need to slur those that are better than you?

All the Right Things (Love in LA #2)
by Audrey Harte (Goodreads Author)
4.16 · Rating Details · 122 Ratings · 39 Reviews
In “Love in All the Wrong Places”, Annie tried her hand at online dating, but it brought her nothing but a broken heart. This girl can't seem to catch a break in the dating world! While wondering what went wrong once again, she met an attractive, funny and sincere hip hop dancer in the parking lot at work. But just as Casey expressed interest in taking her out, he had to leave town to tour the country with an up and coming pop star. Annie was willing to wait for him to return, but then she received an apologetic text from Nate, the last guy she met on Craigslist.

Join Annie on her adventures in “All the Right Things” as she makes some of the biggest decisions of her life. While she thoroughly enjoyed the time she spent with Nate and is still attracted to him, he screwed her and then ditched her at the bar without a word. Will Annie accept Nate’s explanation and his heartfelt apology and give him a second chance or will she kick him to the curb? Or will Casey’s charm and determination to show her how a real man should treat a lady win her over? Or will both of these guys be left in the dust when someone from her past reappears? (less)
