Rescuing one cat may not change the world, BUT for that one cat, the whole world will change.

Default cats hate closed doors

I had a cat that learned to open doors. One day she let herself into the linen closet and went to sleep. Someone passing by closed the door and it was a whole day before we found kitty.

Default away and cat will play

This is great and just in time to send to our son. He's at home in Ohio watching the cat and he (our son) sleeps with his bedroom door closed. He called yesterday and said that Ellie wants in, then out, then in, then out....all night long. Thanks for the posting!

Our Tommy cat - he is in my avatar - is a very big and very smart kitty.

He loves to open cabinet doors and sleep inside. Since we moved to TV and have door handles like those in the video, he stands on his hind legs and opens the door. The other kitties wait for him to "spring them" and then out they go. Fortunately he can't open the front door.

Years ago we moved into a new house and after the movers left we couldn't find the cat. We were sure he must have got out as everything was being moved in. We finally found him - he had opened an access door under the jacuzzi tub (in the master bath) and was hiding behind the tub. He had a way of finding the best hiding places.

Our ten month old kitten loves to go in the coat closet and sometimes gets stuck there when the door gets shut. She puts a paw under the door and bumps it until someone notices and lets her out.
