Default Restaurant suggestion

Our son is impressed with the new Tim Horton Donuts shop in Penn Station, NYC. I understand that several of these restaurants have been established outside of Canada, where they originated. http://www.timhortons.com/us/en/index.html

Since businesses in The Villages come & go, I thought I'd submit this idea.

Food network did a show on Tim Horton donuts. I think it will be a long time before you see them this far South of Canada. They looked very much like crispy creme donuts to me. I love my dunkin donuts and can't imagine ever changing. Also LOVE their iced coffee!!!

CBS Sunday Morning did a feature article on Tim Horton one week and the claim to be BIGGER than McDonalds in Canada.
And donuts don't matter. . . it's all about the coffee

It is the coffee. I have a friend who gets up to Canada a couple of times a year and he has his GPS set for Tim Horton's so he does not miss an opportunity for coffee. He is not a BIG coffee drinker but here in Ohio likes Dunken Donuts coffee. If he had his choice it would be Horton's over DD and last resort is Starbuck's.

Tim Horton's is almost scary. After taking Ontario by storm, they came over the bridges to Buffalo. There are TH's everywhere in the city. A few times they have been built less than a half-mile apart because the drive-thru line stretches out onto the street and blocks traffic lanes. Every day. No kidding.

Coffee lovers here seem to embrace a popular urban legend. Tim Horton's coffee may be excellent, but more than that, they are convinced there is an addictive ingredient which causes the fanaticism. Some folks are proud of themselves when they have been able to break the addiction and now go to Dunkin.or Starbucks.

It is definitely great coffee. I love Dunkin Donuts coffee (grew up on it), but Tim Hortons is right there with DD. Just wish the owners of DD here in TV would wake up (and smell their coffee) and invest a little more in staff training. Always a wait there even if I'm the only one in line.

Smile Tim Hortons

There are Tim Hortons in Michigan and Ohio so it probably won't be long before they go south.

I have to echo ijusluvit's statements. Tim Horton is by far the number one coffee shop in the Buffalo area. You can't drive 2 miles on any major street without seeing one. Their service at the drive through is amazing. Even with a long line of 10 cars, you are out in a couple of minutes. My wife will go through withdrawal when we move full time to The Villages. Our other favorite is Panera. We hope the rumours of a new location south of 466 are true.

I've was in Tims at 3am in Canada when we stopped in. We counted 8 coffee brewers all going full blast trying to keep up with the traffic, both drive up and sit down. I will give Dunkin second place on service as well.
Please don't compare Tims to Crispy Creme if you don't want to start a war with the Canadians. I've been on the road in Ontario north lands and typed in Tims in the GPS. OMG I believe i had 50 hits withing 5 miles.
