Default Immigration reform delayed

http://www.app.com/article/20090810/...+have+to+wait+

After the 3 amigo mtg in Mexico, it appears the USA will have to put up with the continuing infiltration of our borders by the illegals who are seeking better education and healthcare for their families in our country.

Senior citizens will not be able to get the healthcare that they bargained for - but we will still be paying for the uncompensated care that the illegal immigrents get in our emergency rooms and hospitals!

This burns me up!!!

During the big Depression they put people to work building bridges and other government projects. Why not put Americans to work by building walls and moats on the Mexican-USA, border?

I seem to remember this coming up during the last administration....Didn't Bush favor a Guest Worker program?

What ever happened to that?

With the lack of work available and the nation turning socialist...the problem will go away. They will have no reason or desire to come to USA.

I wish that were the truth, but I'm concerned they'll all go back to Mexico and join the drug cartels and come back with dope in their bags.

Illegals have been muling drugs for a long time, but it is an inefficient means. More often than not, their role is to be a diversion to tie up border assets - intentionally "sacrificed" by the coyotes working with the cartels.

Mexico is right about one thing. If the USA was not such a large consumer of cocaine, heroin, marijuana and pill-formed mind-benders, the cartels would be out of business. So, when people say that "taking drugs" is victimless, and that users should not be criminalized, as long as there is a demand, there will be a supply. In this situation, every drug-related homicide - anywhere along the manufacture-delivery process - no matter which side of the border it happens, can be directly tied to every cocaine inhaler, self-jabber and pill-popper that society wants to treat as being "ill" for the sake of fun and games.

the program is still under advisement...secty. napolitano was made the head of a group to study it...the study so far shows that the labor unions are against it...so ya know why that's not going to move to a front burner!...labor unions do favor healthcare reform!

Default It proves that our representatives value being re-elected

more than passing legislation that could put that at risk...like immigration reform.

We should all take heart that if the Mexicans can get this type response, we Americans can also look forward to the health care reform being dragged out for the same reasons.

They want to be re-elected....they have no term limit....like Obama, his czars and the rest of who ever makes up that generic pool referred to as the WH.

Seems to me I recall orchestrated demonstrations by the Mexicans some time last year. Now that could have been legitimately labeled as UN_AMERICAN by Pelosi or as a mob by the same who are throwing those terms around now. One could say the Dems are orchestrated.....too.....eh?

In the spirit of public speaking and announcements in political environments....the first liar doesn't stand a chance!
